Sa wa di kap! Bangkok trip Nov 26-29, 2007 (Pt. 2)

Research on Bangkok was done online. I referred to www.cari.com.my traveling thread for info on accommodation, halal restaurants, shopping malls etc. Alhamdulillah the trip went smoothly as planned.

Menam Chao Phraya river cruise was OK but not up to my expectation. We almost get cheated by the boat person in term of the boat fees. Keadaan overall sungai pun x berapa bersih. Obviously, "kempen cintai lah sungai kita" nampaknya mmg tak de di sana.. ;P

Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo pun biasa2 je..Elephant show mmg best coz gajah2 tu sumer main bola sepak & show ala2 gajah di medan perang. Ada gak sesi gajah melukis dgn belalai yg sungguh abstract hasilnya. Overall zoo tu biasa je laa..x lah se gah mana.

Calypso show sgt best!!! They were all good actress eh actors!!! eh konpius sungguh lah nak category kan mereka ni..under the spot light, mmg muka depa flawless!!! nmpk lemah gemalai menari segala..tp bila tgk face to face and salam tgn depa, mak aiiii....kasarnya tangan!!!terus teringat kat kulit gajah2 kat samphran zoo ;p

The two restaurants mmg best!! Harga pun reasonable. So if u r going to Bangkok soon, jgn lupa cari kedai2 ni ok..

Lufthansa

Hotel:
First Hotel, Putchburi Road, Bangkok (Walking distance to Pratunam Mall for shopping).
7 Eleven is just across the road.

Halal restaurants:
1. Restoran Mak Yah (walking distance from hotel..tp jauh gak sebenarnya ;p )
2. Phraya Restaurant (A bit pricy. Dikir barat show available. Quality food & services. A few
staff were fluent in Malay.

Activities:
1. Shopping ;p
2. Menam Chao Phraya river cruise + mini floating market
3. Visit Rivercity
4. Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo (quite far from hotel)
5. Callypso Show (fantastic & very entertaining!)
6. Body & foot massage



Must experience the tut-tut ride a.k.a fast & furious roller coaster!!!!

I realize that I have to do lots of homework to make this blog more informative. Please give me more time to do it coz at the moment, I am already in the holiday mood. :)

Next trip will be Jakarta, Nov 3-6, 2011.

Bila Pakcik Tony nak launch flights to USA?

Another distinctive factor that caused my TRaVeL-LeeN (read: travelling) disease was my experiences in USA for two years since 1995 - 1997. Aku telah berkorban & "berjimat" JPA book allowances (by not buying the textbooks! ;p ) semata2 untuk kumpul duit nak round the states! Pathetic sungguh!

Alhamdulillah, apart from Miami, I have managed to cover the east region, some parts of the north plus Toronto and also LA. Agak frust sikit coz x sempat cover all the 50 states! Padahal masa tu accommodation boleh jimat coz ada kawan all over the states! Rugi! Rugi! ;p

Ini je lah some pictures yg sempat di scan kan..Almaklumlah, there was no digital camera back then! Ols skool abis kan? hahahaha..

The roots of this "travelling disease"

Some possible answers:

1. It's in the blood ;p - esp from my mom yg dh travel to most of the countries masa dia
keje dulu.

2. The way I have been brought up - kind of miss activity2 round 1 Semenanjung Msia di
waktu cuti sekolah menaiki kereta yg semua passengers nya "double-decker" a.k.a meriba
kids, kecuali the driver ;p

3. Pengaruh rakan2- bila lagi nak blame kawan2 kan? ;p

4. Pengaruh rancangan2 travelling kat astro! Selalu berangan bestnya kalo keje travel2 to oversea ni..

And the biggest contributor to this disease is......
